Welcome to the Royal Oak.

Our beautiful 17th Century pub is situated just outside the town of Midhurst, nestled in the South Downs National Park.
The Royal Oak is perfectly placed if you are looking to set off on the miles of footpaths and bridlepaths that lead you to the heart of the South Downs.
We partner with the finest local suppliers of both food and drink to create seasonal, delicious, daily changing menus.
With an abundance of space indoors and a large heated marquee the Royal Oak caters for all dining experiences.
Whether it a candlelit dinner for two by the fire, a family get together for a Sunday roast, a walking group gathering or a wedding or other large celebration, we have plenty of space to accommodate you and delicious food options to choose from.

"Passed by this place today and decided to stop for lunch.Beautiful day so sat in their well spaced out beer garden. My husband and I had a 2 course menu for £15 which also included a tea or coffee. We both had the fish and chips and have never tasted such amazing beer batter, so light and crispy. For dessert we had the apple tarte tatin which was served with very creamy, vanilla ice cream. Compliments to the chef and very good value for money"

"After hearing the Royal Oak had a new owner and landlady we decided to call in for a pint and try one of their famous burgers and fat chips. We were greeted immediately by friendly staff behind the bar. A young, welcoming and well trained team didn't disappoint us. The local beer is a great pint. Our meal came out circa 10 mins after we ordered. Very generous portions, cooked perfectly with a dressed green salad. During our stay, four of their busy staff engaged and asked us if we needed anything and if we enjoyed our meal. There is plenty of space to distance, the beer, food and service is second to none. Great pub, great value, great staff, attentive manager. We will definitely make this pub a regular in future"
